Rise Of The Training Courses

The training courses were developed in a Design Thinking workshop organized by the Club of Engineers & Friends and Wajukuu after realization of creativity is the only resource that is abundant in the slum and is the key to transformation. The direct target group of the Training Courses are the adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 30 from the Lunga Lunga slum. They represent a particularly vulnerable population group that faces significant hurdles due to the harsh economy, limited educational opportunities and social stigma. The project aims to provide them with opportunities for professional and personal development by providing tools, space and courses. By learning handicraft skills, artistic and design skills, and entrepreneurial skills, these young people can improve their chances of earning an income and make a positive change in their lives.

Wajukuu offers a training courses to young people and youths with knowledge that they can use their creativity to live a self-determined life and actively contribute to the positive development of their community. Special attention is paid to young mothers and fathers who are facing very special challenges. Under Training courses, we provide access to special courses that teach craft skills, artistic design, and business building. The aim is to give young people the opportunity to lead a self-determined life and use their creative potential to earn a living and contribute to the development of their community. The courses impart technical, design knowledge and skills to youths in order to be able to solve everyday problems.
