Discover Our StoryWajukuu Kids Club began in 2004 when local artists noticed children gathering daily at the entrance of their studio. Recognizing the children's curiosity and interest, the artists started offering classes, creating a structured program that has been running ever since.
In the challenging environment of Mukuru slum in Nairobi, Wajukuu Kids Club serves as a source of hope. Through our activities, we promote creativity and education while offering children a safe space to express themselves freely.
We believe every child needs cultural guidance and a space for self-expression, regardless of their surroundings. Our program helps keep children away from negative influences such as dropping out of school, substance abuse, crime, and early pregnancies.
Through the Kids Club sessions, we witness the growth of children into responsible and critical thinkers who are connected to their cultural heritage and equipped with valuable social skills.
Children explore their creativity through various painting techniques, learning color theory, composition, and self-expression. Our painting sessions encourage imagination while developing fine motor skills.
